City under a roof

This series came out of wandering around the lower, abandoned floors of Tel Aviv’s New Central Bus Station. It focuses on the shuttered storefronts, where the role of the display windows has changed; transparency has given way to a thick layer of dust and confined attempts at blocking the view from the outside.

Behind the seemingly endless and meticulously numbered windows remains only a faint memory of what’s now gone. With the display space no longer fulfilling its function, the reflection of the outside in the empty windows tells the story of the New Central Station.
